It was only a fortnight ago that we announced Simon Cowell's graduation from Karaoke Oz to Karaoke Sauron, but already his powers intensify at a horrifying rate.
To wit: Eminem has announced that he wishes to be a guest judge on The X Factor. "No disrespect to the current judges," the critically garlanded rapper explains, "but you need people who are global, platinum-selling stars. You need to prepare contestants for what it's really like out there, and what sort of pressure you are going to be under . . . A hip-hop star will never win a show like The X Factor without somebody like me on the panel . . . I am not sure I would have the time to do it full-time, but I would come and be a guest judge . . . Simon tells it like it is and I am down with that."
And down Eminem does seem to be – a once-anarchic mind laid low by the warbling orcs.
Inevitably, there are those diehard Eminem fans out there who will argue that angling to sit in judgment on the likes of Lloyd Daniels is really the most transgressive statement of all, just as there would be those who might defend Marilyn Manson pitching up on Bargain Hunt as somehow the apogee of outré. But they're so luminously wrong, aren't they, that all we can do is chalk up another victory for the dark lord, and await his Third Age with special dread.

Eminem - Relapse: Refill Tracklist
On December 21st, Eminem will be refilling his prescription. And just as fans/critics started to spread rumors… Relapse 2 is still on it’s way.
“I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned” Eminem says. “Hopefully these tracks on The Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year”. Eminem has been busy in the studio creating even more new material since Relapse was released. “I got back in with Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch. The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on Relapse 2, but I still want the other stuff to be heard.”

Freeway Preps Special "Freelapse" Mixtape, "It's A Tribute To Eminem
State Property's Freeway has announced plans to drop a new mixtape called Freelapse which will pay homage to Eminem's platinum-certified Relapse album.
According To Freeway, the motivation to make a project based off Em stemmed from a freestyle by Slim Shady.
"I'm dropping the Freelapse it's a tribute to Eminem using all of his beats," Free explained in an interview. "What happened was Em did a freestyle and he was like 'I disappeared I was hiding in Freeways beard,' so I sampled that, made it a hook, and used it for a song. After that, I came up with the idea. Eminem is a talented emcee, he's got a lot of hot beats, and another artist would probably be scared to rap to his beats because he's murdered every beat. So I felt that it was a challenge for me to try to live up to the expectation." (All Hip Hop)

Eminem's "Shady Talez" Movie Details Revealed, Rapper To Play Multiple Roles
More details surrounding Eminem's upcoming Shady Talez horror film have landed online and suggest the rapper will portray three different roles in the movie.
According to music video director Joseph Hann, the rapper should be able to handle the pressure.
The movie will be a 3D anthology film and the rapper will be challenged by playing a different role in the three parts of the film. Eminem will also write a comic book series for Marvel Comics to compliment the film's release. This will be a challenge for the star but music video director Joseph Hahn doesn't see a problem as he said, "Having worked with him so many times, the thing people don't realize is that he's a fantastic actor. He actually stays in character on set. He's a method actor, like Daniel Day Lewis." (CMAR News)
Em is reportedly producing the film as well.
Eminem is set to star in a 3D hip-hop horror anthology entitled Shady Talez, it's been reported. The rapper will also produce the horror movie, which is earmarked for release next year. Described as a cross between The Twilight Zone and Creep Show, the movie will be produced by DJ Classicz. Trade paper Screen International reports that a four-issue comic book series is to be released alongside the movie. (Gig Wise)
Speculation of the film's existence began to circulate in late October.
Earlier today (October 28) reports hit the 'Net that Eminem was prepping the release of a series of horror films titled Shady Talez. Gore fans read on shocktillyoudrop.com that the Detroit MC had plans to develop an anthology of flicks paying homage to some of the genre's cult favorites, like Christine, Aliens and The Lost Boys. According to the site, Em would even have multiple acting roles in the project. XXLMag.com spoke to the rap superstar's publicist, Dennis Dennehy, who said nothing is set in stone thus far. "There's been talks," he said, "but [I] can't confirm anything yet." (XXL Mag)
Slim Shady is also reportedly in talks to possibly star as a boxer in a film project with Mark Wahlberg.
"We were supposed to do this boxing movie together," Wahlberg said in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid about Matt Damon. "We were going to play brothers and I don't think he's really feeling up to it so maybe we'll get Eminem to play the part. It's because we want two guys with some real edge and I think he was attached to play one of the parts at one point. Me and him actually talked on the phone while I was in Philly making another movie so um, either that or my brother. There's not too many people that can be believed in as being brothers, maybe half brothers but still, these guys had a really hard life. We want it to kinda feel authentic as opposed to getting some soft Hollywood act." (Radio Planet TV)

Em's New Movie and more
Eminem’s Next Movie Gig to be 3-D Horror
More than seven years after receiving major props (and a Best Original Song Oscar) for his feature-film debut in the semi-biographical 8 Mile, hip-hop superstar Eminem will possibly be returning to the big screen for the big-budget 3-D horror anthology film Shady Talez. We’ve got some interesting details after the jump… better hit it!
According to ScreenDaily, the chart-topping rap icon will be working with producer John Davis (Predator) and writer/producer Dallas Jackson on the 3-D horror epic, which the creators describe as kind of a cross between The Twilight Zone and Creepshow. It’s the first of several productions in development from Davis and Jackson’s new partnership DJ Classicz/Davis Entertainment; others include a remake of Barry Gordy’s goofy ‘80s martial-arts comedy The Last Dragon – a film which reportedly has Samuel L. Jackson attached.
Shady Talez will reportedly be accompanied by a four-part Marvel comic book miniseries, co-written by Dallas Jackson and Underworld writer/actor Kevin Grevioux. Given the Creepshow reference, chances are the books will have that same classic EC Comics feel.

Redman Talks Eminem, "I Will F*ck W/ Shady Records Because They're New
Def Jam's Redman recently spoke on his relationship with Eminem and explained what it would take for the two emcees to re-connect for a collaboration track.
Def Jam's Redman recently spoke on his relationship with Eminem and explained what it would take for the two emcees to re-connect for a collaboration track.
Responding to past reports of Em wanting to sign him to Shady Records, Red also explained why he was initially willing to depart Def Jam for the rapper.
"I will f*ck with Shady Records, because they're new, I love Eminem as an artist -- me and Eminem connected a long time ago, and he doing his thing," Red explained in an interview. "And for him to even make a statement, or even have Redman on his mind, like 'Yo, he ain't f*ckin' with Def Jam, bring him on over,' I appreciate it. So my hat's off always to Eminem. If Shady Records woulda picked me up, I would went over there. It wasn't nothin'. At the time when that was goin' on, Def Jam was goin' into they little funk, they didn't know what was going on with that company. And as it is, it's kinda pickin' back up, but the love is not there like it used to be -- it never will be there...Eminem...that's my dude. Besides me going to his house, and we connected in the studio, I've run into him on many occasions. My hat's off to the dude...It's like whatever, man. I guess when the time is right. Eminem know I'm around, I ain't hard to find. Me and his peoples are always in touch. [Paul] Rosenberg and my manager...if I need Em, or really need to get in touch with him, I could do it. Whenever he reach out, "'Yeah. Let's do a song.' So it's nothin'. Paul, what's good, baby?" (Hip Hop DX)
Red previously joked about teaming with rap partner Method Man to jokingly sabotage and join Em if he had a tour last summer.
"Even if he don't put us on, we're coming in through the back door, jumping onstage," Red added. "Honestly, I'm gonna tell you exactly what that is -- That's how emcees make their money. Those royalty checks come like babies -- every nine months. Plus we enjoy doing shows. Anybody who's come to a Method Man and Redman show knows that we give 110 percent every time we're out there." (MTV)
He also spoke on the possibility of leaving Def Jam Records to join forces with Em's Shady Records earlier this year.
"Even like Shady, even to have that idea, or Eminem to even have that idea like thinking Redman was gonna be off Def Jam and he coming through is a privilege," Red explained in an interview last month. "Like, I will leave right now and go over there to Shady. I don't care, 'cause they still doing hip-hop and I love it. Anybody supporting it, I'm there. Big up to Shady though, but I ain't off Def Jam yet, f*ck. But I'm there though. I'm still rockin'. Come get me for a record though, let's make it happen." ("Dog & Pony Show")
The rapper is also prepping his new album, Reggie Noble 9 1/2, which will feature a few auto-tune samples.
"I got it on my new album -- I don't care," said in an interview about auto-tune. "Reggie Noble is doing the album, not Redman. Let's get that clear. Reggie Noble don't give a f*ck! He wanna do auto-tune. He wants to do a pop record. He just wants to do music because he loves music. What's the difference between Reggie Noble and Redman is that this Reggie Noble album is more conceptual. It got concepts on it, it got auto-tune on it, it got a pop record on it. I had fun on it. I'm just throwing it out, giving it to Def Jam." (Rap-Up)

Em also released singles We Made You - which poked fun at a host of celebs - and Beautiful this year, and of course had Bruno drop in on him at the MTV Movie Awards.
He beat other nominees including Robbie Williams, Kanye West and Jay-Z.
